There are certain reactions that are relative to certain situations and events in life. When you land that dream job you'v always wanted, your shoulders are automatically elevated. You can't stop talking about how amazing your job is and all. When he finally pops the question, everything about him becomes suddenly awesome. He becomes the basis of your very existence. When your team wins that league or cup, mehn, no other team can ever live to be as great as yours. Great feelings accompany great events. That is the normal norm in life, right?
Now comes the anticlimax. What happens when you have to helplessly watch all the amazing feelings spiral down and plummet into the abyss of indifference, a total breakdown or even failure? What happens when that best friend of yours suddenly happens not to think you are his best buddy? That awkward moment when you realise that your team could not defend their title.#CFC#. That point in your life when you wish that you wanted to be with another woman rather than the one you already committed to. What happens when what you thought was going to be the most passionate thing that has ever happened to you suddenly loses all its flavour and becomes tasteless? Especially when you have tried to give it your all and it seems like all you'r hitting is a brickwall that won't cave in easily?
How does one reconcile that great dream you once had and the brutal reality that confronts you presently? I really need answers this time. I don't have any.. All I know is that it leaves you with nothing but a deep gore in your chest (litrally).
So, please if there is anyone who will read this and can tell me how to deal with it, do not hesitate to drop your suggestions here.

ReplyDeleteLife itself is a puzzle that you can only solve only by God's grace.
There is one thing i know, no matter what you face in life, u will choose if you really want it or not.
There is this korean quote which says: When a man is experiencing bad luck, it will either destroy him or strengthens him for higher places.
I have come to realize in life that if you allow your situation or what you are passing through to depress you, you are going no where.
The only way to tackle this is to ask for His grace(God's grace). Then one must be determined that the present challenge is not permanent (bill gate started from no where). Then one should strive to get to the top despite every obstruction. Not easy doh, that is wen that Grace comes in.
So Tonia, one have to be determined, focused and never relent.

DeleteI belive it all starts with the great sense of joy and fuifilment you feel in the first instance, where do you chanel it towards. Is it towards to gift or the giver(ie: GOD). Now pause I'm not talking about that 10mins you spend in your room thanking Him for such a gift or the 5minutes spent in Church praising HIM for the miracle. I'm talking about after that, when you begin to narrate to people about how hard you worked to get the job or how such a wonderful person you are to deserve such a man and how that had led him to pop the big question. Pls dnt get me wrong I belive in hard work and a little self gratification but that's all it should be "a little"! In comparism to what God has done for you the little work you had to do to appropriate that blessing is nothing. The moment you begin to think and exualt your efforts or your teams' effort, you totally loose track of what is important. God is the most constant Being in the universe He doesn't bless you today and let you suffer tomorrow, its blessings all through on His agenda for you however we miss out on the blessings when we stop glorifying Him and start glorifying our efforts thus opening the doors of your life to the horrors the devil alone brings. How do you deal with that feeling that your life is going up and down like a yoyo. Stop focusing on your self achievements and focus on HIS ACHIEVEMENTS, HE IS ONE THAT NEVER FAILS, THE MOST CONSTANT BEING ALIVE,THE ONE WHO KNOW YOUR END FROM THE BEGINING, THE ONE WHOSE PLANS FOR YOU ARE GOOD AND NOT EVIL, THE ONE WHO TOOK YOUR SINS UPON HIMSELF THUS TAKING YOUR PLACE IN HELL SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE!
